How to Unblock Google Chrome access to the network on Windows 10 Firewall?

Many Windows 10 users reported that Firewall blocked Google Chrome without any apparent reason on their Windows 10 laptops and PC. Most Windows users prefer Chrome to other web browsers on either their Windows 10 PC or laptop. These users are prevented from using Chrome by the firewall, which causes major inconvenience. Here's how to allow chrome to access the network.

You can go through the Windows Defender Firewall Permissions

  • First, review the Windows Defender Firewall permissions to use Google Chrome.

  • To launch the search bar, click on the Windows key and the S key together.

  • In the text box, type the Windows Defender.

  • You can choose to activate the Windows Defender Firewall option.

  • To launch the options, go through the Allow an App or feature using the Windows Defender Firewall.

  • Click on the "Change settings" option.

  • If you've already selected one, go through the Google Chrome boxes.

  • Click on the OK button.

Turn off VPN adapters

This is the most basic and effective way to allow chrome to access the network on Windows 10. Follow the steps below.

  • By turning off the network adapters, users can verify that they have resolved the firewall issue.

  • You will need to click the Windows and X keys together to complete this process.

  • Select the Device Manager menu.

  • It will open a new window.

  • Click on the Network adapters category menu.

  • Right-click the network adapters listed on the screen.

  • Select the Disable option.

You can uninstall the VPN software

This issue can be resolved by uninstalling VPN software from Windows 10 PC. Follow these steps to remove the VPN software from your Windows 10 PC. It can be one of solution to allow chrome to access the network.

  • VPN software is responsible for blocking the Google Chrome firewall.

  • Another way to fix this problem is to remove the VPN from your system.

  • This will complete the procedure. To do this, press the Run button.

  • This is done by pressing the Windows and X keys simultaneously.

  • Enter 'appwiz.cpl" in the Open checkbox.

  • Click the OK button.

  • Select the VPN program that is available in the uninstaller window.

  • To uninstall it, press the Uninstall button.

  • To confirm the process, click on the "Yes" button

  • After you have uninstalled VPN software, you must restart the system.

  • Some users may need to delete the pending VPN network connector.

  • You will need to enter the "ncpa.cpl" in the Run prompt box.

  • Click on the OK button.

  • This option allows you to open a new browser.

  • Right-click the VPN connection.

  • Click the delete button.

You can disable the Google Chrome Extensions

This could be caused by extensions from the Google Chrome browser. To allow chrome to access the network, follow these steps if this is the case:

  • Some users may need to remove the VPN software.

  • To solve firewall blocking issues in Google Chrome, disable the ad-blocker extensions.

  • Click on the Customize Google Chrome button.

  • Select the More tools option.

  • Click on the Settings tab.

  • This option will allow you to open a new browser.

  • After that, click on the option shown on the screen.

  • To disable it, it is located at the right end of the extension.

  • To remove extensions from your system, you can also click on the Remove button.
